MFT March Release Replay

Hello and welcome to MFT Release Replay DT Challenge.  This is an opportunity for us to take a fresh look at the newest release and give you more inspiring ideas and showcase the products in a new and innovative way.

Today I'm sharing a shaker card I made with the whimsical trio of owls from the Owl My Love set.  How cute are they?  These owls were so fun to color with their pattern doodles.

To begin, I stamped and colored the owls with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I used a white gel pen to add more interest to the images.

To create the background, I trimmed white cardstock to an A2 sized panel and inked the middle with Limeade and Cotton Candy Premium Dye Inks.

For the shaker window, I trimmed kraft cardstock and die-cut the middle with the second largest die from Linked Chain Oval Frame Die-namics.  I stamped the window panel with BG Whimsical Woodgrain Background using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide.

I adhered trimmed acetate with the embossed sentiment behind the window and glued on the die-cut chain to the front as shown.

To assemble the card, I added jewels and sequins for the shaker element to the background panel and mounted the front panel on top with foam tape.

To finish, I added a die-cut brown strip I made with a die from Hearts in a Row -Horizontal Die-namics. On top I adhered the owls as shown.

Thanks for visiting me today! Please head over to the MFT Blog to check out what the rest of the team has created for Release Replay!
