MFT Color Challenge 94

Hello there! I'm here today with the lastest MFT Color Challenge!

To begin, I Copic colored the little girl (using the challenge colors) from the PI Love You a Bunch stamp set and cut her out with the coordinating Die-namics.

For the front panel, I die-cut A2 sized Heavyweight Primitive Cream card stock with the largest die from the Inside & and Out Stitched Oval Stax Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment on this panel with Chocolate Brown Hybrid Ink, then foam mounted the front panel to the background panel that was ink blended with Lemon Chiffon and Peach Bellini.

To make the beautiful roses, I die-cut Sno cone, Lemon Chiffon, and Peach Bellini felts with the Mini Rolled Roses Die-namics. The leaves were made by die-cutting Sour Apple Felt with the leaf dies from April's Stitched Blooms Card Kit. I used a hot glue gun to adhere all the pieces together and onto the card front.

To finish, I foam mounted the little girl to the card front as shown.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll play along with this week's new Color Challenge. For more information and inspiration from the participating design team members ,you can visit the MFT Challenge Blog.

MFT MAY CARD KIT RELEASE

Hello and welcome! The My Favorite Things MFT May Card Kit, the Painted Prints, is now available at the MFT Boutique! Make sure to grab your kit before they sell out! I had so much fun making my projects with this versatile kit- I know you will too!

I have a floral shaker card to share with you for my last project using the new kit.

To begin, I stamped the florals and the leaves from the Painted Prints stamp set on Smooth White card stock with Premium Dye Inks (the ink colors are on the supplies list). After, I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I made the shaker window by die-cutting A2 sized Smooth White cardstock with the largest die from Linked Chain Oval Frames.

After, I trimmed heat resistant acetate to the same size and white heat embossed the sentiment using the Brushstoke Expressions sentiment stamp set. I adhered the acetate behind the window panel with the sentiment showing in the front.

I foam mounted the shaker window to a background panel that was ink blended with Peach Bellini and Bubblegum Premium Dye Inks. I added splatters of Cotton Candy Ink diluted slightly with water. For the shaker elements, I used Pink Blush and Buttercream Jewels.

To finish, I arranged and adhered the florals and leaves to the card front as shown.

Just in case you missed it, here are the other two projects I made with the kit.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for more inspirations using this month's kit!
That's it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by!!

MAMA ELEPHANT - OH HAPPY DAY

Hello and welcome to the last post of the May Release Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight series. Today, the design team is showcasing the large, beautifully penned Oh Happy Day stamp set that's great for all occasions.

To begin, I die-cut smooth Bristol paper with the largest die from Basic Rectangles Creative Cuts. Then, I white heat embossed the large sentiment from Oh Happy Day. After, I distressed the panel with Distress Oxides in a circle motion. I added the smaller circles using a finger dauber and white pigment ink to create a bokeh effect. I white embossed the smaller sentiment on a Copic colored thin strip.

I colored the stamped images from Party Animals with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and cut them out.

To finish, I foam mounted the images and the smaller sentiment. For some sparkle, I glued on few clear sequins.

That's it for today, I hope you enjoyed my project! Thank you for stopping by!

MFT WEDNESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE #386

It's time for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #386! As always, it's a fun sketch, and I hope you'll play along with us for a chance to win a $50 gift voucher to MFT Boutique!

Here's my take on the sketch:

Sketch #386

To begin, I stamped and Copic colored the images from Party Animals and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

For the front circle panel, I die-cut white card stock with the largest die from Circle STAX Die-namics. I ink blended the clouds using the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide.

I made the grass panel that sits on top of the front panel by first die-cutting Gumdrop Green card stock with the same large circle die, then I die-cut that with a die from the Grassy Hills Die-namics.

I stamped the sentiment with Extreme Black  Hybrid ink on a strip of Sour Apple card stock.

To finish, I foam mounted the circle panel to a top folding A2 size card base and then foam mounted the pigs and the sentiment to the card front as shown.

To begin, I stamped the florals and the leaves on Smooth White card stock using Premium Dye Inks (colors are listed in the supplies section) and cut them out with the coordinating dies. Then, I die-cut Smooth White card stock with the Flower Vase Die-namics (free with a qualifying order over $60) and ink blended it with Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachios Distress Oxides.

I inked blended the front panel with Peach Bellini and Lemon Chiffon Premium Dye Inks. Then, I stamped the sentiment "Hello" from Brushstroke Expressions (also included in the kit) with Chocolate Brown Hybrid Ink. On top of the panel, I foam mounted a piece of trimmed Tim Holtz Woodgrain Paper that I distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide.

MFT MAY CARD KIT DAY 1

Hello and welcome to the first day of the My Favorite Things May Card Kit Countdown! I have a floral card to share with you using the new Painted Prints Kit.

Using the Painted Prints stamp set included in the kit, I made a floral pattern background on Smooth White card stock using Premium Dye Inks (see colors in the supplies section). I masked each flower before stamping the leaves to make the leaves appear like it's behind the flower.

On top of the patterned panel, I adhered trimmed vellum and affixed the panel to a top folding A2 size Ripe Raspberry card stock. I then foam mounted a white heat embossed sentiment from the Brushstroke Expressions stamp set (also in the kit) to the card front. I also added a stamped and die-cut flower and leaves on the card front.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you'll join me again tomorrow for the Painted Prints Card Kit Countdown Day 2!

MFT - 5 DAYS TO AN ORGANIZED CRAFTY STASH 2018 - STENCILS, EMBELLISHEMENTS, AND TOOLS

Hello and welcome to the last day in the series of the MY Favorite Things 5 Days to an Organized Crafty Stash. Today, the design team is sharing how we organize our stencils, embellishments, and tools.

I keep my Stencils in an Avery Elle Extra Large clear storage pockets with a trimmed top. I store two stencils in one pocket with a piece of trimmed Steel Blue card stock in between. I have them labeled with the names of the stencils.

I organize my Pretty Pink Posh sequins, beads, and jewels in a 82 - Piece Tiny Container Storage Tray by Elizabeth Ward. I just finished filling all the tiny containers, so I'm going to be picking up the second one real soon.

I store my Nuvo Drops and Nuvo Glitters in an Ikea Skadis shelf, and it hangs on a Ikea Skadis Pegboard. I can easily remove the shelf from the pegboard and place it on my desk when I need to.

On the pegboard, I also have my Misti Stamping tools, scissors, Scor-Buddy, Steel Snips, QuickStick Pick-up Tool, and Fine Pointed Tweezers in Ikea Skadis acessories. The best part is that I can grab them from the pegboard from where I'm sitting and crafting.

I keep my Mini Ink Blending Tool, Mini Ink Blending Foam Pads and sponge Daubers in an Ikea Alex drawer near my desk. I store the foam pads inside a transparent plastic jewelry box storage container with dividers.

That's it for today! Thank you so much for joining me for the 5 Days to an Organized Crafty Stash series. I hope this series provided you with lots of tips, tricks and ideas to help you get organized.

Visit the MFT Blog for more tips on how to organize stencils, embellishments, and tools from the participating design team members.
