MFT MAY RELEASE COUNTDOWN DAY 2

Thank you so much for stopping by for Day 2 of the My Favorite Things May Release Countdown!

My card today showcases the adorable Safari Party stamp set.

To begin,  I stamped the images with Cement Gray Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I went over the eyes, mouth and the zebra's hair with Copic Mulitliner in Cool Gray. After, I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

This fun shadow box card measures 5 3/4" x 4 1/4". The outside of the box is covered with patterned paper from the Fun and Frolic Paper pack. The opening was die-cut with the second largest die from Stitched Rectangle STAX. I covered the inside of the box with trimmed Sno Cone cardstock. The grass panels were made with Grassy Hills Die-namics and Sour Apple cardstock.

For the palm trees, I used the dies from Beach Scene Builder Die-namics. The palm cluster were die-cut with Sour Apple card stock and inked lightly with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide. The palm tree trunk was die-cut with white cardstock and I inked it with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide. I used a white gel pen to add highlights.

The sentiment was stamped with Chocolate Brown Hybrid Ink and was die-cut with a die from Hearts in a Row-Vertical Dienamics. Don't you just adore these safari animals- they're so cute!!

  2. Hmm it seems like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I had written and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I'm still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips and hints for novice blog writers? I'd really appreciate it. hotel gift card vouchers
