MFT WEDNESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE 406

This week's sketch challenge #406:

My card inspired by the sketch:

Ok, I might have deviated a little too much from the sketch by adding an extra row of squares, but I really like the way this project turned out. ;) I thought it would be a fun interactive card to give to a little child.

The images I used on this card are from the Sassy Santa stamp set. I masked the Copic colored images on the panel to create the snowy hill and the sky using the Drifts & Hills stencil and Distress Oxides. The "Ho Ho Ho" sentiment is from the Hand-Lettered Holiday Greetings and I heat embossed them in white. The "Celebrate the Season with Glee" sentiment is from the Sassy Santa stamp set. Lastly, I die-cut the panel using the Puzzle Cover -Up Die-namics. I thicken the puzzle pieces by adhering two more layers of die-cut white cardstock to make it sturdy.

It's a fun sketch! I hope you'll play along with us. Visit the Card Challenges blog for more information on the sketch challenge and for inspiration from the participating design team members.

Thank you for visiting me today! Happy stamping!!

I have a fun Christmas shaker card to share with you featuring a few of the new release products such as the Circle Trio Shaker Pouches, Filled with Joy Die-namics, and Hand - Lettered Holiday Greetings stamp set.

To begin, I Copic colored the adorable bears from BB Bitty Bears stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I ink blended the front panel with Distress Oxides. I added splatters of water for texture. Once dried, I silver embossed the sentiment from the Hand-Lettered Holiday Greetings stamp set. Then, I die-cut around the center with the Circle Trio Shaker Window & Frame Die-namics.

I ink blended the background panel with Distress Oxide, just in the areas that were needed for when I place the front panel on top with the circular openings.

I inserted the Circle Trio Shaker Pouches to the front panel and added the colored bears with the shaker mix of Diamond Dust and Sparkling Clear Stars. After I attached it with the front panel to the background panel as shown.

I die-cut Silver Glitter Card Stock with the dies I needed to make an ornament from the Filled with Joy Die-namics.  Then, I adhered it to the front panel.

To finish, I die-cut white cardstock with the Stars in the Sky - Horizontal and glued the tiny stars onto the front panel.

MFT OCTOBER RELEASE COUNTDOWN DAY 2

Hello and welcome to the MFT October Release Countdown Day 2! All of the amazing new products will be available Tuesday, October 9th at 10AM EDT. Make sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see today's full reveal.

My project features the new adorable Happy Llamadays stamp set along with the new Fa la la Die-namics. I made this fun holiday card to fit in a 4 1/8" x 9 1/2" envelope.

To begin, I stamped the llamas from the Happy Llamadays stamp set with Cement Gray Hybrid Ink for no-line coloring with Copics. Please, note, I changed their eyes to give them a slightly different look.  For finer details on the images, I used Prismacolor pencils and used a white gel pen to add the fur texture. After they were colored, I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

To create my front panel, I ink blended the sky with Distress Oxides. The three hill panels were die-cut with the Snow Drift Die-namics. I ink blended the top of the panels with the Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. Then, I added splatters of water to add texture.

The "Fa la la la la la" part of the sentiment was die-cut with the Fa la la Die-namics. I ink blended them with Distress Oxides as well.  I used the Well- Connected Alphabet stamp set for the "LLAMA" part of the sentiment and it was heat embossed in white.

To assemble the card, I adhered the sentiment and the hill panels to the card front. Then, I added the colored llamas. To finish, I added splatters of Copic Opaque White everywhere to the card front to make it look like it's snowing.

Thank you so much for visiting me today! I hope I'll see you again tomorrow for Countdown Day 1!

Then, I stamped the trees using the Trio of Trees stamp set with Sour Apple, Gumdrop Green, and Milk Chocolate Premium Dye Inks and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

For the A2 sized front panel, I used the Snow Flurry Stencil and white heat embossed the snowflakes on Neenah Desert Storm 100lb.

The three snow drift panels were die-cut with the Snow Drift Die-namics. I lightly inked the top of the panels with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide.

The sentiment is from the Pure Innocence Holiday Cheer stamp set and it was stamped on the shortest hill panel.

To finish, I adhered the three hill panels and the images using double-sided tape and foam tapes for fun dimension.
