MFT COLOR CHALLENGE 112

HI! I'm back again with the newest MFT Color Challenge!

My card inspired by the color combination:

To begin, I Copic colored the adorable stamped images from the Spectacular Birthday stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

For the large sentiment, I die-cut the sentiment with the Happy Birthday Blend Die-namics first. Then, I stamped it with the Happy Birthday Blend stamp set with the Sour Apple, Wild Wisteria and Blue Raspberry Premium Dye Inks. I replaced the recommended Tropical Teal with Blue Raspberry for a softer look.

The front panel was ink blended with the Sour Apple, Wild Wisteria and Blue Raspberry Premium Dye Inks. After, I die-cut it with the largest die from the Elegant rectangle STAX.

To finish, I foam mounted the front panel to a top folding A2 sized card front. Then, I foam mounted the colored images and the sentiment as shown. I added white dots and star sequins for added interest.

Don't you just love this color palette!! I hope you'll play along with us.

MFT- WEDNESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE 426

My card inspired by the sketch:

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped bear and the trees from the Ready Set Snow stamp set and the bird, birthday hat and the balloons from the BB Happy Hippos stamp set. After, I cut them out with the coordinating dies. I used a white gel pen to add details and highlights.

The front panel was ink blended with the Cloud Stencil and Distress Oxide.

The snow hill was die-cut using a die from the Snow Drifts Die-namics.

The sentiment is from the Ready Set Snow set and was die-cut with a banner from the Blueprints 27.

All the panels were die-cut with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1to give a uniformed stitched look.

To finish, I adhered all the panels and the colored images as shown.

I hope you enjoyed my project. As always it's a fun sketch! I hope you'll play along with us. Visit the Card Challenges blog for information on the sketch challenge and for more inspiration from the participating design team members.

MFT - Tic Tac Toe

Hello and welcome to MFT February Hits and Highlights challenge.   For this fun challenge, the design team will be highlighting the Tic Tac Toe set

This set includes 4 durable tic tac toe board shapes that nestle into our Square Shaker Pouches to create a perfect fit. Add x's, o's, or a heart from our Mixed Heart Pieces and attach to your card for an interactive look that will delight kids and kids-at-heart alike. This set also includes (18) x's and (18)o's.

For my card today, I used the tic tac toe board included in the set along with the BB Birth-Yay stamp set to create a fun scene.

To begin, I colored the stamped images from the BB Birth-Yay stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I used a white gel pen to add highlights and details to the images.

The front panel was ink blended with Distress Oxides and die-cut with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1.

The sentiment is from the BB Birth-Yay and it was heat embossed in white.

To finish, I adhered the tic tac toe board and the colored images to the front panel.  To add more interest to the card I glued on a few sparking clear sequins.

ME STAMP HIGHLIGHT - POPPY FOWERS

Hello and welcome to the last Mama Elephant's February release Stamp Highlight. Today the design team is highlighting the Beautiful Poppy Flowers set.

Today I'm sharing a jar shaped shaker card using the new Poppy Flowers set and the new Jar Shaker creative cuts.

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from the Poppy Flowers stamp set and cut them out with the Poppy Flowers creative cuts.

To make the shaker part of the card, I used the Jar Shaker creative cuts. I die-cut white cardstock using the jar dies nine times and adhered 8 of them together instead of using foam tape. Then, I used the larger jar die and die-cut a piece of acetate for the front window and white cardstock for the background panel.

I ink blended the front jar frame and the background panel with Distress Oxide. Then, I adhered the die-cut acetate behind the front frame. After, I adhered the stack of 8 die-cuts of the jar frame to the background panel. Next, I added the shaker elements and the stems to the inside of the jar and closed it with the front window panel.

To make the card base, I folded the paper in half and did partial die-cutting using the larger die from the Jar Shaker creative cuts.

To finish, I added the sentiment from the Poppy Flowers stamp set and adhered the flowers as shown. This card fits in an A2 sized envelope.

Thank you for visiting me! I hope you enjoyed my project.
Happy stamping!
Hugs, Amy :)

ME STAMP HIGHLIGHT - BIRIDIE WREATH

Hello and welcome to another Mama Elephant's February release Stamp Highlight. Today the design team is highlighting the sweetest Birdie Wreath set.

I have two projects to share with you. The first card features the new Birdie Wreath set along with the new 3d Arch Banner creative cuts.

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from the Birdie Wreath stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating Birdie Wreath creative cuts.

The front panel was ink blended with Distress Oxides and I added splatters of ink to add texture. After I die-cut the panel with the Framed Tags Waverly creative cuts.

The sentiment "Hello Friend" is from the Garden Frame and I stamped it on the die-cut banner I made using the  3d Arch Banner creative cuts.

To finish, I foam mounted the front panel to a top folding A2 sized card base and added the sentiment and the images as shown.

My second card features the new Birdie Wreath set along with the new Gatefold X Fence.

Once again, I started by Copic coloring the stamped images from the Birdie Wreath stamp set and cutting them out with the coordinating Birdie Wreath creative cuts. This time I took apart the wreath to create a different look using the leaves.

The front panel was die-cut with the largest die from the Basic Rectangles. I added clouds using an acetate stencil I made using the Cloudy Day Cover creative cuts with Distress Oxide.

I made the hill panel using a die On The Hills creative cuts. I stamped the sentiment "Hello Friend"  on there from the Garden Frame stamp set.

The gate was die-cut with the Gatefold X Fence and I ran the die-cut gates through my die-cutting machine again with the Woodgrain Cover to give it texture.

To finish, I assembled the card as shown.

Thank you for visiting me! I hope you enjoyed my projects.
Happy stamping!
Hugs, Amy :)

MFT THE BIRTHDAY PROJECT - YOU'RE HOW OLD?

Sometimes using a numerical representation of the birthday boy or girl’s age is to share in their excitement (four-year-olds LOVE being four!) and sometimes, it’s maybe to rub it in a bit…in a loving way, of course. This month, we're challenging you to come up with interesting ways to feature numbers in your designs — whether recognizing the milestone of a newly-christened teenager, the celebration of hitting the half-century mark, or anything in between (or beyond!) we want to see numbers in play.

My card inspired by the challenge:

To begin, I stamped the images from the from the Party Penguins stamp set with Premium Dye Inks (Extreme Black, Orange Zest, Ripe Raspberry, Blu Raspberry, Cotton Candy, Red Hot) and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

To make the balloons I used the Balloon Numbers Die-namics with Prestige Card Stocks (Wild Wisteria, Blue Raspberry, Ripe Raspberry, Cotton Candy).

To create the floor for the front panel, I ink blended it with Blu Raspberry Premium Dye Ink.

To finish, I adhered the images as shown.

I hope you enjoyed my project. As always it's a fun challenge! I hope you'll play along with us. Visit the Card Challenges blog for more information on The Birthday Project challenge and for more inspiration from the participating design team members.

MFT - WEDNESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE 425

My card inspired by the sketch:

To begin I Copic colored the stamped images from the It's a Mice Time to Celebrate stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

The rainbow confetti panel was created using the Card - Sized Confetti Stencil Set and Distress Oxide and I trimmed to fit the sketch.

The sentiment is from the It's a Mice Time to Celebrate and I heat embossed in white. I used a sentiment die from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics to cut it out.

To finish, I foam mounted the confetti dot panel to a top folding card base. On top of that, I foam mounted the sentiment and the mice as well.

I hope you enjoyed my project. As always it's a fun sketch! I hope you'll play along with us. Visit the Card Challenges blog for more information on the sketch challenge and for more inspiration from the participating design team members.

ME STAMP HIGHLIGHT: LITTLE FAIRY AGENDA

Hello and welcome to the Mama Elephant's February release Stamp Highlight. Today the design team is highlighting the sweet and adorable Little Fairy Agenda set.

For my project today I made a shaped friendship card, combining the Little Fairy Agenda set along with the Wild Meadow stamp set and the Oval Scallop Frames creative cuts. The card fits nicely in an A2 sized envelop.

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from the Little Fairy Agenda stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating Little Fairy Agenda creative cuts.

I made the oval scalloped shaped panel using the largest die from Oval Scallop Frames creative cuts. I covered the scallop edges and stamped the beautiful flowers from the Wild Meadow stamp set and colored them with Copics as well. I added white dots with a gel pen. After, I stamped the sentiment "To My Beautiful Friend" from the same set.  I added the clouds using a stencil and Distress Oxide.

To make the top folding oval scallop card base I once again used the largest die from Oval Scallop Frames creative cuts and did partial die-cutting so that the top will remain intact.

To finish, I adhered the front panel to the card base and foam mounted the colored images as shown.

Thank you for visiting me! I hope you enjoyed my project.
Happy stamping!
Hugs, Amy :)

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from the Little Chickie Agenda stamp set and cut them out with the Little Chickie Agenda creative cuts.

Then, I used the FBA Chickie creative cuts to make the large chick. I added a light blending of Distress Oxides to the chick and assembled it as shown.

The front panel was die-cut with the Cloudy Day Cover creative cuts. I ink blended it with Distress Oxides and added some green dots with Copics and white dots with a gel pen. I adhered the panel on top of a green cardstock panel.

The sentiment "Hello Friend" is from the Stackable Cuties stamp set.

To finish, I added the die-cut large chick and foam mounted the sentiment and the colored chicks as to the front panel as shown.
