MFT - AUGUST THE BIRTHDAY PROJECT

Hello! I'm back again with the lastest The Birthday Project challenge for MFT. The theme for this month is Gift Cards

Choosing a gift card you know your recipient will appreciate serves the dual purpose of easing the stress of your shopping and allowing the recipient the joy of selecting the perfect gift for themselves. We know that as a carmaker though, you love making the presentation just as thoughtful as the gift so this month is your chance to shine! Join our team in sharing creative ideas for housing gift cards in your card design.

My card inspired by the challenge:

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped image of the girl from BB Sweet Birthday Wishes stamp set and die-cut it with the coordinating BB Sweet Birthday Wishes Die-namic.

To create the patterned front panel I used the smaller stamps from the BB Sweet Birthday Wishes stamp set and stamped it with Versamark Ink on Blue Breeze card stock. Once dried, I die-cut the panel to create the opening for the gift card with a die from Gift Card Window & Frame Die-namics. For the stitched detailing I die-cut the panel with a die from theA2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics.

The sentiment from the Gift Card Greeting stamp set was white heat embossed onto Blue Yonder cardstock and die-cut with a die from the Essential Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

To assemble the card, I adhered the Gift Card pouch to the opening of the front panel with few red heart confetti and the gift card inside and adhered the front panel to a top folding A2 sized card base. Lastly, I foam mounted the sentiment and the girl to the card front as shown.

As always it's a fun challenge! I hope you'll play along with us. Visit the MFT Blog for information on The Birthday Project challenge and for more inspiration from the participating design team members.
