MFT - SEPTEMBER THE BIRTHDAY PROJECT

Hello! I'm back again with the lastest The Birthday Project challenge from MFT. The theme for this month is BARKING BIRTHDAY WISHES.

Our pets are part of the family and deserve to be represented in our birthday greetings. Whether sending birthday wishes from yourself and your furry friends, or to a recipient that is an ardent pet lover, adding a doting dog or caring cat conveys an undeniable friendship. This month, add a cat, a dog, or any mix of the two (and remember, putting party hats on them ups the charm instantly!)

To begin making the card, I Copic colored the cat in the box from BB I Knead You, the party hat and the balloons from BB Happy Hippos stamp sets and cut them out.

The sentiment was die-cut four times with the Happy Birthday Script Die-namics and I glued them together for dimension. I ink blended the top layer using Premium Dye Inks in Cotton Candy, Red Hot, Coral Crush, Lemon Chiffon, Sour Apple, Berrylicious, Grapesicle.

The front panel was die-cut with the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics.

To assemble the card I adhered the sentiment and foam mounted the colored images as shown to the front panel. To ground the images I added shadow using Copic markers. Lastly, I adhered the front panel to an A2 sized pattern paper from the Over the Rainbow Paper Pack.

As always it's a fun challenge! I hope you'll play along with us. Visit the MFT Blog for information on The Birthday Project challenge and for more inspiration from the participating design team members.

Happy stamping!!

The icebergs were die-cut with the BB Icebergs Die-namics. I added some colors on the icebergs with Copic Markers.

The sentiment from Unbearably Cute stamp set was stamped with Blueberry Premium Dye Ink and die-cut with a die from Essential Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

To assemble the card, I adhered the night sky panel to a top folding A2 sized card base.  After, I adhered the Icebergs and foam mounted the colored images and the sentiment as shown.
