ME JUNE DESIGNER SERIES - SHALL WE DANCE

Hello! Amy here with a fun shaker card featuring the sweet Mama Elephant  Shall We Dance set along with Sky Bursters CC.

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from the Shall We Dance stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating Shall We Dance CC.

The A2 sized background panel and hanging stars (made with the die from Sky Bursters CC) was ink-blended with Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides. To add interest and texture, I added splatters of Picked Raspberry diluted with water.

The front panel was die-cut with the frame die from Sky Bursters CC. I adhered a trimmed acetate behind it to create the window.

The sentiment from the Shall We Dance stamp set was heat embossed in white and cut out with a die from Sentiment Strips CC.

To assemble the card, I adhered the background panel to a top folding card base. Then, I added yellow star confetti with sparkling clear sequins to the middle and foam mounted the front panel on top. After, I added the hanging stars, colored images, and the sentiment to the front panel as shown.

That's it for today. I hope you enjoyed my project. Thank you so much for stopping by!
Happy stamping!
Hugs, Amy

The A2 sized front panel was ink blended with Blu Raspberry using the Cloud Stencil. After, I die-cut it with the Sunshine Shaker Die-namics. I adhered the Circle Shaker Pouch with the 4mm Lemon Drop Sequins inside and adhered it to the trimmed Lemon Drop Card Stock background panel.

For the "Sunshine" Sentiment, I die-cut Blu Raspberry card stock with the Sunshine Die-namics and adhered it to the card front.

For the grass panels, I die-cut Sour Apple Card stock with the Grassy Hills Die-anmics. I ink blended the top of the grass panels to add more color with the Field Day Premium Dye Ink. I stamped the second sentiment from the BB Bring Out the Sunshine stamp set on the front grass panel with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink.

MFT - JUNE THE BIRTHDAY PROJECT

Hello! I'm back again with the latest The Birthday Project challenge for MFT. The theme for this month is Peek a Boo Surprise.

While some surprises are less-than-welcome, a birthday surprise is definitely an exception. If the birthday boy or girl isn’t the surprise party type, crafting a card that features a peek-a-boo element is a perfect compromise. With a variety of Die-namics options — from flip-up windows to interactive wheels, you’re sure to come up with the perfect peek-a-boo design for this month’s Birthday Project challenge.

My card inspired by the challenge:

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from the Friends with Fins and the Gill Friends stamp set. These two sets work perfectly together to help you create a fun ocean scene. After, I die-cut them with the coordinating dies.

I die-cut the outer panel with Neenah 110lb cardstock and the inner pull tab panel with Tropical Teal Prestige Card Stock using the Slider Surprise Dienamics.

I ink blended the scored top panel with Orange Zest and Lemon Chiffon Premium Dye Inks. I stamped the seagulls from the Party Like a Pirate stamp set. The "Happy Birthday" from the Birdie Brown Greetings Galore was stamped with Blu Raspberry Premium Dye Ink. For the wave panels, I die-cut Blu Raspberry Premium Cardstock with the Ocean Waves Dienamics. I lightly added more colors on the waves with Blue Raspberry. I adhered the dolphins and the wave panels as shown.

Once again, I used the Blu Raspberry Card Stock for the A2 sized background panel. I stamped the panel with the solid fish stamps from the Friends with Fins and white heat embossed the sentiment from Friends with Fins stamp set. Then I adhered the rest of the colored images as shown.

To finish, I foam mounted the top panel to the background to create this fun interactive pull card.

As always it's a fun challenge! I hope you'll play along with us. Visit the MFT Blog for information on The Birthday Project challenge and for more inspiration from the participating design team members.
