ME STAMP HIGHLIGHT - BIG NEWS

Hello and welcome to the Mama Elephant April Release Stamp Highlight. Today the design team is highlighting the adorable Big News set.

My card today features the new Big News set along with the new Big Scripty Hello Creative Cuts.

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from the Big News stamp set. After I picked the three friendship sentiments from the same set and stamped it on the signs the animals are holding. After I cut them out with the coordinating Big News Creative Cuts.

The "Hello" sentiment was die-cut using the Big Scripty Hello Creative Cuts and I lightly ink blended it with Cracked Pistachios, Cracked Pistachio, Wilted Violet and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides.

I made the grass panels by die-cutting green colored cardstock with the Grassy Trio Creative Cuts. I added more colored to the grass panels with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide. After, I stamped it with the grass stamp from the Big News as shown.

I die-cut the front panel with the A2 sized stitched die from the Basic Rectangles Creative Cuts. After I ink blended the sky with a cloud stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide.

To finish, I adhered the grass panel, the large "Hello" and the colored images to the front panel as shown.

Thank you for visiting me! I hope you enjoyed my fun scene card.

ME STAMP HIGHLIGHT - MARINE FRIENDS

Hello and welcome to the Mama Elephant April Release Stamp Highlight. Today the design team is highlighting the Marine Friends set illustrated by Aida Zamora. The set features the cutest dolphins and their adorable friends.

For today, I created an underwater scene card using the Marine Friends set along with the new Making Waves Cover creative cuts.

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from the Marine Friends stamp set and used a white gel pen to add details and highlights to the images. After I die-cut them with the coordinating Marine Friends creative cuts

The front panel was die-cut with the Making Waves Cover creative cuts. I ink blended the panel with Distress Oxides using different colors for each wave section. I created the rays located on top of the panel using a sunray stencil and by wiping off some of the colors with a damp paper towel. After, I added splatters of water. Once dried, I heat embossed the sentiment "You're a Wonderful Friend" from the Marine Friends stamp set. I used the white gel pen again to add white dots throughout the panel.

To finish, I adhered the colored images to the front panel using double-sided tape and foam tape to create dimension.

Thank you for visiting me! I hope you enjoyed my fun underwater scene card.

MFT WEDNESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE 433

Hello and welcome! I'm here today with the latest MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 433.

My card inspired by the sketch:

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped image from the PI Start Everyday with a Whee stamp set and cut it out with the coordinating die.

The front panel was ink blended with the Cloud Stencil and Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink.

For the tree branch, I die-cut Neenah Desert Storm and Gumdrop Green Card Stock with the Tree Branch Die-namics. After, I added more color with Distress Oxides.

The sentiment "Have Fun" from Spectacular Birthday stamp set  was stamped on Sno Cone cardstock and die cut with a die from the Hearts in a Row - Vertical Die-namics and trimmed to fit the sketch.

To finish, I assembled the scene on the front panel using foam tape as shown.

I hope you enjoyed my project. As always it's a fun sketch! I hope you'll play along with us! Visit the MFT Blog for information on the sketch challenge and for more inspiration from the participating design team members.

ME STAMP HIGHLIGHT - LITTLE MERMAIDEN AGENDA

Hello and welcome to the Mama Elephant April Release Stamp Highlight. Today the design team is highlighting the adorable Little Mermaiden Agenda set.

I have two fun interactive shaker cards to share with you. The first card highlights the Little Mermaiden Agenda set, the new Scales Cover Creative Cuts, and the new Ribbon Banner Creative Cuts.

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from the Little Mermaiden Agenda stamp set for both cards and cut them out with the coordinating Little Mermaiden Agenda Creative Cuts. For the first card, I also Copic colored stamped sea plants from the Mermaid Kisses stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating Mermaid Kisses Creative Cuts. I used a white gel pen to add details to the colored images.

The background panel was ink blended using Distress Oxides. After, I added splatters of water and white dots using a white gel pen.

The front panel was die-cut using the new Scales Cover Creative Cuts and then die-cut with the largest die from the Oval Scallop Frames Creative Cuts to create the window.

Behind the front panel, I adhered a layer of trimmed acetate and added two layers of foam tape around the oval and the edges.

To assemble the card, I adhered the four mermaids and fish on the background panel. After, I added sparkling jewels for the shaker element and mounted the front panel on top. On the front of the card, I added the sentiment "Mermaid Kisses and Starfish Wishes" (from the Mermaid Kisses ) that was heat embossed on the die-cut banner that I made using the Ribbon Banner Creative Cuts. Lastly, I added the rest of the colored images as shown.

The second interactive shaker card highlights the new Little Mermaiden Agenda stamp set, the new Scales Cover Creative Cuts and the Jar Shaker Creative Cuts.

To begin, I die-cut an A2 sized panel with the Scales Cover Creative Cuts and then ink blended it with Distress Oxides. After I added splatters of water.

Once dried, I die-cut the panel with the two jars shaped dies together from the  Jar Shaker Creative Cuts to create the frame and the background panel.

I used the larger die from the Jar Shaker Creative Cuts to die-cut an acetate to create the front window. After I heat embossed the sentiment " Birthday Wishes" from the Mini Everyday Messages stamp set in white. Then, I attached the acetate behind the frame.

To assemble the card, I adhered the background panel to a jar shaped card base I made by partial die-cutting folded cardstock using the larger jar die from Jar Shaker Creative Cuts. Then, I added the mermaid (with the balloon) with the clear string attached between two layers of foam tape. This allows her to move when you shake the jar. After, I added the tiny blue stars for the shaker element and attached the frame on top of the background. To finish, I added the colored fish and the two mermaids to the card front.

Here's a short video of the swimming mermaid. :)

MAMA ELEPHANT APRIL RELEASE STAMPEDE

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Design Team blog hop!

Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store!

www.mamaelephant.com

Today I created an underwater scene card that features the new Little Mermaiden Agenda set along with the new Big Scripty Hello-Creative Cuts

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped mermaids and the tiny fish from the Little Mermaiden Agenda stamp set and few other underwater images from the Mermaid Kisses stamp set. I also used a white gel pen to highlights and scales on the mermaids.  After I cut them out with the coordinating Little Mermaiden Agenda Creative Cuts and the Mermaid Kisses Creative Cuts

For the A2 sized front panel, I die-cut a piece of paper using one of the hill borders die from the Landscape Trio Creative Cuts to create a mask. Then I used the mask to ink blend the sandy hills with Vintage Photo and Antique Linen Distress Oxides. For the water, I used Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, and Cracked Pistachios Distress Oxides. I spritzed the panel with water to create texture. Once dried, I used a white gel pen to add little bubbles here and there.

For the sentiment, I used the Big Scripty Hello-Creative Cuts. First, I used the die to die-cut pink sparkly cardstock and after I die-cut white card stock five times. I adhered them together to create dimension.

To finish, I adhered the sentiment and the colored images to the front panel as shown.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my project.
Have a great day and happy stampeding!

MFT WEDNESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE 432

My card inspired by this week's sketch 432:

To begin, I Copic colored the ducks and the butterflies from the Purrfect Friends stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

For the scenes panel, I used the SY Scene Builder and colored it with Copics and trimmed it to fit behind the photo strip panel.

To make the photo strip panel, I die-cut white card stock using the Photo Booth Strip Die-namics seven times and adhered them together for dimension.

The sentiments are from the Woodland Friends stamp set and I stamped them on Sno Cone and Sour Apple Cardstocks. After I cut them out with a die from Hearts in a Row - Vertical Dienamics.

To assemble the card, I adhered a trimmed pattern paper from the Petite Plaid Paper Pack to an A2 sized top folding card base. Then, I adhered the colored background panel and added the photo strip panel on top.  Lastly, I adhered the colored images and the sentiment as shown.

I hope you enjoyed my project. As always it's a fun sketch! I hope you'll play along with us. Visit the MFT Blog for information on the sketch challenge and for more inspiration from the participating design team members.
